Real Time

The real time module is showing the movement of trains during the day of operation. It requires an integration between trenoLive and traffic managements systems or another data source providing train movement data in real time. Usually only one scenario is equipped to show real time data. Please contact TRENOlab if you want to learn more.

Real time graph​

A graphic timetable similar to the timetable graph used for planning and analysis. A vertical red line indicates the current time (timezone as set by the browser, which can be different than the timezone in which the real data is provided). The search settings include a preview timeframe and a retrospect timeframe, which can be user defined. Additionally, it allows to open the train data in tabular format with a single click on the actual train path and to open the train details by double clicking on either the planned or the actual train path.

Real time train movement​

The real time train movement information is an overview of the actual train compared to the planned path and showing further relevant information such as contact information on the train staff, the status (e.g. running, arrived, cancelled) and other eventual deviation from the plan.

The real time train movement can be found either directly in the real time graph as stated above, in the train details and in the real time timetable window (under Timetable).

The real time train movement can also manage information that is varying between operating days, such as trainset informations.

Dashboard​

The dashboard aggregates the real time data into a bigger picture visualisation of the operational sistuation. It shows punctuality level, delay information and overall stability indicators of operations on the network or parts of it and allows to focus on the most critical lines or services. The dashboard combines numerical information and modern visualisation methods to help the user understand the issues present on the network today. The Dashboard is adaptable according to each client's needs specifically.
