OCPs

The OCPs window allows a visualisation of OCP layouts without the need to open the infrastructure editor.

In this window the default tracks are managed.

Default tracks

Default tracks are used in timetable planning and in simulation. A default track can be assigned to each itinerary within a station. Default tracks are a required input if track assignments are not provided directly in the timetable.

To edit the default track, use the Default Tracks tab of the Station Layout editor. Each row in the table indicates an itinerary from and Ingoing edge (column 1) to an Outgoing edge (column 2) and once selected enables editing the corresponding track number in the Tracks column (3). When a row in the table is selected, the corresponding itinerary is highlighted in red. Insert one or more default track for each combination and activity. If more than one default track is selected the priority is defied going from left to right (left being highest priority). To define default tracks for different activities right click on "Any" and select split. The following activities are possible:

  • Begin: indicates the itinerary of trains starting in the station, the corresponding Ingoing edge cell is empty.
  • End: indicates the itinerary of trains ending in the station, the corresponding Outgoing edge cell is empty.
  • Turnback: indicates the itinerary of trains which have a turnback in the station;
  • Any: indicates the itinerary of trains through the station, not being a turnback.
  • Pass: indicates trains not stopping
  • Any stop: indicates trains stopping in any type of stop entry (Stop, Service Stop, Request stop, Set down only, etc.)
  • Stop: indicates trains stopping in any type of stop entry, not being a Service Stop (Stop, Request stop, Set down only, etc.)
  • Service Stop: indicates trains stopping with a Service stop entry type

It is necessary to define Default tracks in the Any-Activity row, before the Activity splitting becomes possible.
