Corridors
Corridors are a intermediate step necessary to display the infrastructure axis correctly in the timetable graph (Graphic Timetable). They bring together connected pieces of lines and edge tracks to align them with the relevant geographic corridors, where trains are travelling.
To define a corridor, open the Corridors window and create a new corridor starting from the first OCP and following a sequence of OCPs on different lines. It is possible to deselect edge tracks from lines to avoid overlapping trains in areas with many parallel tracks. It is not possible to have parallel lines on the same corridor.
Corrdiors can also be created directly from a train, taking over the line tracks a train is running on. The corridor will have all edge tracks of the respective lines active, if only a small selection of edge tracks should be visualised, they need to be deactivated manually in the corridor editor.
Corridors without the "Enabled" mark will not be presented to the user for selection in the timetable graph or the conflict checker.
Corridor's direction:
- Down direction - Sequence of OCP in the corridor from top to bottom.
- Up direction - Sequence of OCP in the corridor from bottom to top.
Corridor with branches
It is possible to create corridors with one or more branches. The branches can be added above or below the main corridor depending on the position in the list of branches. To add a branch to an existing corridor click -- New branch -- and add the station where the branch starts. Then add the necessary edges - and remove the filter in case the relevant edges do not appear in the list.
It is not possible to reconnect the branch with a second station already present on the main corridor, but it is possible to add more than one branch. Branches can be ordered to show on top or at the bottom of the diagram. Branches are visualised in the graphic timetable.
