Multiple edit

There are two levels of multiple editing in TrenoLive: One is editing multiple rows in the train editor, a functionality to edit more than one entry of the selected train.

The other is the editing of multiple trains together. This page is describing the behaviour of trenoLive when editing multiple trains.

There are five main editing functions, which in itself have again more than one elements that can be edited. For more information on what the multi edit functions do, please go to the Timetable page.

  • Multiple edit (of general train characteristics)
  • Multiple RTC
  • Multiple edit line tracks
  • Multiple edit station track and platform
  • Multiple edit times
  • Multi train cancellation

The multiple edit times is subdivided in

  1. Minimum Stop Time and stop margin editing,
  2. Minimum Running Time and travel margin editing on specific edges and
  3. Percentual travel margin editing on line sections

To start the process of editing the correct subselection of trains needs to be chosen in the Timetable window. The trains can be selected manually by clicking on the checkbox at the start of each row or automatically using the Train searches function.

When the correct number of trains has been selected, right-click on one of the selected trains to open the menu and chose Multiple edit. The sub-menu will offer you all editing functions. Follow the editing wizard and specify the modifications to the selected trains. It is possible to abort the process before changes will be applied. The selection of trains remains active and further changes can be made to allow step-by-step modifications to different parameters.

The edit functions with a small backwards arrow are undoable until the editing session ends.
