Junction margin violations
Junction margin violations
Junction margin violations are a macroscopic conflict based on user-defined thresholds for planned headways. The conflict checker checks for each OCP, if a following train in the opposite direction stays outside a certain threshold to ensure robustness and avoid knock-on delays. In contrast to the microscopic conflict checker it is not relying on the individual blocking times of microscopic infrastructure elements.
The junction margin is defined for each OCP in both directions in seconds. Left and right are defined by the station layout as defined in the macroscopic model.
